|3 Reasons Why San Diego Locals Should Have a Residents Card|
It may be winter, but that's never stopped San Diegans from enjoying a round of golf before. One one of the best perks of being a local is the Riverwalk Golf Club Resident Card, which provides special rates and perks year-round.
If you live in San Diego and golf, you should definitely have one, and here are the top 3 reasons why:
#1–Special Discounts and Savings
Being a San Diego Resident Card-holder means never having to pay full price for a round of golf at Riverwalk again. With three different sets of nine holes that can be combined in a variety of ways, you'll never get sick of golfing here. Plus, your card entitles you to:
• Special discounted resident rates
• Guaranteed savings of $2 per round on any promotional 18-hole specials
• Special cardholder-only email promotions
#2–Exclusive Resident Privileges
There are numerous privileges to having a Resident Card, such as the luxury of making reservations eight days in advance. You can take your time and plan out your golf adventures, making sure you have the time slot you want, not just what’s available or affordable.
#3–Country Club Benefits & SCGA Handicap
When you have a Resident Card, you have exclusive access to the StoneRidge Country Club, and you don’t even have to be a country club member to golf there. Simply present your card at the StoneRidge Country Club golf course, and you'll receive the special green fee of $40 with a shared cart on Mondays.
If you feel like competing with others of your skill level through the SCGA Handicap, it just got a whole lot easier. The Resident Card gives you access to the Southern California Golf Association's handicap system through an optional membership for just $50 more. Stay on top of your game by engaging in friendly competition with other members of the SCGA.

|Featured Business: Riverwalk Golf Course|
|Written by IndianVoices.net
Riverwalk Golf Course is a beautiful destination for residents and those visiting San Diego. Centrally located in San Diego, the golf course is a beautiful setting in an area of town that is quickly becoming compact.
Riverwalk Golf Club encompasses three nine-hole layouts that can be combined in a variety of ways to create a unique experience every time you play. Distinctive in character but consistent in quality, every hole was meticulously designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. and Jr. in the old style, leaving the terrain completely natural.
Having played Riverwalk Golf Course many times, I continuously come back not only for the golf, but the beautiful setting it provides. Since the course is so centrally located, it’s easy to get to, affordable, and always a relaxing day out on the course with friends.
This San Diego Golf Course boasts mature stands of palm, oak and eucalyptus trees frame undulating fairways and manicured greens, with numerous wetland areas, nearly 100 bunkers and an array of picturesque water features – including four lakes and the San Diego River – creating both strategic diversity and a visually stunning backdrop for golf. While challenging for low handicappers, the course offers multiple tees on each hole, ensuring an enjoyable experience for golfers of all abilities.
For the amateur and pro golfer, it may come across as a fairly easy course. But for the thousands of avid (and average) golfers out there, this course is challenging but an absolute joy to play.
San Diego Golf Course Rates
Having played many of the courses in San Diego, the rates at Riverwalk are very competitive and I’ve never felt that they were over-priced. If you’re a San Diego resident, they do offer resident rates as well if you have a San Diego residence golf card.
San Diego Golf Course Amenities
The course also has the ability to put on banquets and weddings at the course. The food is actually really good and they feature a full bar. The course has a full driving range and golf shop on the premises as well.
The Performance Center is home to some of San Diego's top pro's and TPI certified instructors, offering private instruction and long range coaching programs to the public. The Performance Center's practice facility is available 7 days a week to it's membership only. Riverwalk's Golf Performance Center offers a premier practice environment including a grass driving range with wedge practice targets and a practice putting/chipping green. The Performance Center focuses on avid golfers that are looking to take their game to the next level.
There is also a Medalist Junior Golf Program tailored to kids 6-17 to participate in a fun and engaging golf experience. Weather the student is a beginner or an avid player, they’ll enjoy all the information and challenges that await them in The Medalist Junior Golf Program.
Overall if you’re looking for a great golf experience in San Diego, set up a tee-time at Riverwalk Golf Course and hack away!
